»Sisterhood«
The performances of controversial Israeli artist couple Dotan and Perry never leaves one indifferent. Their works provoke reflection on cultural issues such as nonverbal communication, obsession, the fragility of privacy and territory and the battle field of the sexes. Their new performance »Sisterhood« is an ode to hypocrisy and schizophrenia. Lital, wearing a dress made solely of bread slices, is being interviewed while eating herself up. In the process of the dress diminishing and the body revealed, the monologue, performed as being interviewed by an imaginary person, is raising questions of observation, the gaze, pain and the body.
